I did know a guy that had one that had a selectable AWD system with a 6 speed and either a turbo or the JC works super charger can’t remember which. I thought that was a sick combo but I believe he had it imported and he said he’d basically never sell it. Was an older Venezuelan dude that had to have his security clearance renewed yearly because of possible ties to drug cartels and he was a dod contractor.

they are sposed to be pretty safe little cars, they drive/feel solid, doors make a nice thud closing, quiet inside driving

the larger ones are awd, it would not surprise me if it could all work on that size one i had though. the "transfer case" just goes into the transmission the same exact way the longer passenger axle does. and then i think the transfer case and a driverside axle is the same size as the passenger side axle used out to the hub. and the tcase has the shaft going back. in the back the entire subframe looks like it would hold a diff, the rear wheel hubs are splined for axles lol.

I don’t remember what it is but there’s some major flaw with those Mini engines that makes them fail after 50-75k and they need to be rebuilt. My nephew buys them totaled from insurance when this happens, rebuilds the motors and flips them.

the older sc ones are prob more reliable but suck. the 2008ish or whenever they went turbo had under hood temp problems, direct injection hpfp problems, and realllll bad pcv recirc problems. the first two were were resolved for the most part around 2010/2011 with some design changes. the pcv was ****** - it was all handled in the valve cover so you couldnt catch can it and recirc'ed directly through paths in the head into the intake port, with no port injection they had massive build up on the back of the intake valves after like 30k miles.
after i cleaned mine at like 50k i drilled and tapped the ports in the head and put in some setscrew plugs and ran the pcv out of the cover....a little more than the average person was willing to do

the like 2012,13,14 were all pretty well smoothed out, but then model change and they started using the bmw b38/48 engines

I put the Tahoe on a scale today any guesses on what it weighs?

I weighed with a full tank but me not in it, with Aprox 150* of gear and junk in the back.
From the factory, it weighed 5037
