Did a bunch more ranger junk today, finished the bumper good enough for me, did a PS pump swap with a Jeep Liberty pump that’s supposed to be really good. Then added a radio and speakers! Oh also found out it has 3.27 gears which is awful so after getting AC worked out 4.56s and a locker are next on the priority.

Which one? I’ve been seeing a V in red like yours near my local ups store, been meaning to take a pic.
mine [yukon]

V is still shuddering under light load, doing logs i noticed its getting a few misfires like 3 or 4, but not sure if gen 5 also unlocks converter when misfire detected...but because this thing is pretty much always locked it just allows slip. when the misfire happens it completely unlocks and thats what im feeling?

dunno, i have zero clue what plugs are in it? stock i think are heat range 5 (LTR5) seems like not a good plug for boosted application. i've got some heat range 7s, same plug essentially just colder, seems to be the goto for lt4 with mods  starting real soon

Wow a range 5plug is for garbage stuff like an old ford V6 not a boosted boi.

Did you ever get anything back from the dealer that left all that stuff unhooked?

i was surprised when i looked up stock replacement.
got some LTR7IX, gapped them down to .30 new set of wires. just going to drop it off and let buddys shop do them. driverside looks easy, passenger side looks like it sucks

nah, wrote a ****** review, they called a few times... less drama to just walk away. i really dont feel like dropping it back off to them to fix shit. i will try another different dealership if i need warranty work. the one that replaced the converter was so-so and kind of out of far. ive been scouring the camaro/corvette boards trying to find dealership reviews...corvette guys seem to like one up north of me i may try next time i need something

I always though part of the reason people paid extra for nicer higher end stuff was that the dealers would take care of them.

Those DI motors look like a pain to work on, especially in a car like that.

that was definitely the plan, but in reality the warranty is dog shit if they keep it for weeks/months at a time waiting on parts or whatever and then i get it back with more shit ****** up. and they still try and upsell ******** services. Id rather just get it fixed even if i have to pay for the parts.
