never doubted yaAs you all know I’m a shit tuner, and have struggled with some weird idle things forever. Mostly the truck would either stall when returning to idle, or would bounce around. Both are fairly dangerous because I have hydroboost brakes. So I hit the bullet and contacted Mail order tuner a guy who works with Texas speed and another buddy recommended. They are super legit! Within an hour of sending my initial email I got a phone call from the guy doing the tuning KC.
He said I did a pretty good job on the tune and wanted specifics about what I needed help with. Turns out my ECT Scalar (electronic throttle control), was way off. .0205 when it should have been .0255. Now idk what the **** that does and I’m struggling to find much info on it but I’m assuming it has to do with throttle body size, or throttle body motor parameters.
Right off the bat that helped and hes been dialing in the MAF a little bit better but noticed I was having a passenger side misfire between 1200-1600rpm and light throttle. So I pulled the plugs today which are iridium tipped NGK TR5s. They look mint as fuh, but I ordered some TR6s because that’s what I used to always run and I don’t remember why I switched down. Anyone have a good way to test coils? The misfire is not enough to make a code.
