2004 Suburban Z71 brake issue

I agree with the premise of a failed master cylinder. Unbolt from the front of booster. Leave the lines attached. Pull away from the booster and see if there is fluid in the pocket at front of booster and is wet at the back of the master cylinder. If doing a 2 person bleed, put a small section of 2"x4" wood at the floor so the pedal cannot go all the way down to the floor.

By the way, you never said why you replaced brake components to begin with. Was it for the pedal feel problem?

Master is probably ruined AND there is probably alot of air trapped behind the solenoids in the ABS manifold which you cant get out without either locking up the brakes a millions times and rebleeding after or just use a bi directional scanner with the auto bleed function like the tech 2. It uses the ABS pump to pump up your brakes and is a one man job.

hpt cant. you need a tech 2 scanner or its equal to do the abs bleed part.

ive changed calipers on my 05 tahoe with out doing the abs bleed. key is keeping the master full and not letting it drain.

Nope you need a tech2, alltel, snap on or hgiher like them.
