2004 Tahoe Fob question

Hey Folks,

My 2004 Tahoe Z71 did not come with a working key fob. It came with a model that had no battery in it, and was falling apart. I checked online and it says its not even compatible with my truck. Here is the number from my remote 16245100-29. I have tried to get this work. I have cleaned it, replaced the battery with three others, no dice.

It seems that I need remote LHJ011

I have been following the directions at:

no dice, it goes into programming mode but my remote does not work. So, do you guys think its possible I have the wrong remote and or a dead remote?

I got my fobs on ebay from keyless king 2 of them for like 15 bucks. it came with directions and worked great! highly recommend and for the price, unbeatable

I ordered some on eBAY, the LHJ011 but I quickly cancelled and I bought them from amazon because I had an amazon gift card which work out great!

I did order two of the 16245100-29 from eBay, which they seem that they won't work so I guess that will be a return....

2 summers ago I forgot about my keys in my shorts and played with the kids in the surf at hampton beach, NH. They fell out and I didnt realize for several hours. Somehow my wife managed to find them, but the fob was doa. I recently ordered 2 new fobs from ebay seller autodayplus for $8 with free shipping. I programmed them today. They look identical to the oe ones, except no part# on the back.

From your above statement I believe you need to get the correct part for your YMM. JMHO and good luck.
