Hello,

I have been doing a little research but having no luck. I have a 04' Tahoe with a 5.3 non-flex fuel. I'm wanting to change the fuel filter but I'm not sure which part number I need or where to find one. I have read on other forums that the 04' had one in the tank if it was not flex fuel and only the flex-fuel systems had an external filter, this is bogus. I can crawl right under my frame rail under the drivers side and look at the fuel filter, it just has a different fitting on one end, like a push style fitting instead of 2 nuts like my friends 03' tahoe but other than the fitting looks the same, it even says fuel filter lol.... Any ideas?

The fuel filter for the 2004 flex fuel worked. Autozone and other parts houses show NO filter for the std. 5.3L 04' Tahoe and also show a two nut design for the 03' 5.3 Tahoe, BUT my buddys also had the same filter that my o4 had. Press/Click fitting on one end and a nutted end on the other... Strange..... Oh well its replaced now and I feel much better about it all.

get one with a quick connect. have the parts guy search for it as a 2003 model because 2004 shows "unserviceable"
