That stupid traction control will cut your throttle if it senses any wheel spin.. Not saying to go blasting into sand with all 4 spinning,, but it's best to turn off the stabilitrak/traction control if you know you will be in sand or mud.. If not, you are gonna get stuck..

That's why it turns off automaticly in 4LO

In sand though if you spin you sink.

I have a Denali XL and I hate the AWD in the snow. If the damn computer would stay out of it it might be alright. Even with the traction control off it still tries to do stuff. Not a whole lot better than 2wd if you ask me. My Burb with 4wd was a hell of a lot better.

my awd tahoe with michelins versus my silverado with 4wd and mud tires,,,, my silvy did better in 2wd than the hoe did with awd.. it's all about the tires.
