Hey Members, I bought a sweet 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali for my kids to drive but the driver door was all crunched in (functional but ugly). Other than that, the vehicle is in great shape. I found a 2003 Chevy Tahoe and went to swap the doors. The interior panels are identical with the same options (power windows, mirrors, pedals, heated seats etc) but of a different color. I was planning to use the inside skin from the Denali, but the outside door of the tahoe. However, the Denali has an extra plug in the wiring harness. The Tahoe had 2 plugs and the Denali had 3. The 3rd is small but I can't figure out what it would be for and whether i need it and/or what won't work if I just use the wiring harness from the Tahoe door. I'm less confident in my ability to remove and replace the wiring harness. Is that easy? Help is appreciated! I included a pic of the Denali wiring harness. Thank you.

Swapping the door over is harder then swapping the wiring. You just have to pay attention to how the wiring is run so it goes back in the same way.

If the new door plugs into the truck properly you could always risk it and try that first to see if everything else works or not.

I swapped the front passenger door from a 2003 Yukon XL to the front passenger door of a 2003 Sierra Denali. The doors are the same. The caveat is that the remote keyless entry module is a part of the electronics in the front passenger door. I learned that the hard way. Hope this helps someone else.
