Howdy all, I recently bought a clean 2005 Escalade that has non-functioning Z55 suspension. I would like to replace it with basically a 'stock' Tahoe/Yukon passive system.

So far my plan is to use the Moog 81071 springs paired with Rancho RS5265/RS5262 shocks. Has anyone used this combo? I don't want to lift/lower the vehicle, just have a solid stock like ride.

Thanks!

Spend the extra couple of dollars and get bilstein 4600 shocks.

I ran moog 81069's (z71/tow package taller stiffer spring) that I trimmed with 4600's and it rode nice. I'd imagine that it'd be even more plush with the '71 springs.

Opinions on the KYB Gas-A-Just shocks? No room in the budget for Bilsteins at this point...

Yeah the Z55 is the air ride, I am trying to convert it to a stock (non-Z71) Tahoe suspension for cost savings.

Ah I see. I have air ride in mine . Plan to rip it out and go basic also. Haven't dug too much into it as my truck funds are also low ATM
But I plan a 2/4 drop but still use factory spec shocks with relocators.
I want the best shock for the buck. No need for top of the line shock for crazy off roading or street racing , Just to make a daily driver ride smooth as possible

I want to piece it together starting with the rear. Get 4" drop springs and new shocks and relocators. Then use my current air lift bags to level so I don't have the Cali lean. But I heard my bags won't transplant into the drop springs , potential of pinching . So maybe a I'll go that route you said tony. But I really wanted a 2/4. 2" keys up front with torsion cranked 0.5" and later get spindles
