Greetings all - I'm looking at a 2005 Tahoe to replace my '96. When I test drove the 2005 today, the owner advised me of a strange quirk. When the traction control is on, sometimes the truck won't accelerate away from a stop - it just idles along. If you turn off the traction control, it accelerates just fine. Has anybody run across this behavior, and if so, what did it take to correct it?
A bigger question: The Tahoe's airbag light is on, as is the "check engine light". It has 134k miles, is in great physical shape, and the engine is sound. The seller is asking $4,500 firm. Should I even consider buying this? I don't mind having things fixed if I can end up paying $6,500 or so.
Thanks for your thoughts and questions.
