latest update re: customer service !!!
Hey everybody.
In my last post... I mentioned that the warranty refused to cover this repair and that the dealership refused also.... but.. I spoke with the service manager last nite and expressed my displeasure as to the customer service, but, I agreed to pay for the repair, as I didn't have much choice anyways. He in turn said to send him a timline as to what has happened with tihs problem since I bought the vehicle, and he would make another effort to see what he could do. So I did what he asked.. and also.. to show that this problem has persisted for a while, I sent him the link to this thread so he could read, and follow it and pass it on to whoever he needed to try to convince that this should be covered by warrantee and that I was not looking to get something for nothing.
This morning I received a call from the service advisor who told me that the vehicle was repaired...AND .. that the service manager , I guess, pulled some strings , and this WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
No doubt I am happy to hear that.. and not so much as it was the issue of the money that had to be paid but more of an issue with customer service.
After being in retail for many years and understanding that a happy customer is a repeat customer, I'm glad to see the service manager went the extra step to make me a happy customer.
The technician is keeping the car one more nite and going to drive it home and back to work , just to make sure the repair is complete and there are no other issues with it. I will pick up the vehicle in the morning.
Ken.. if you're reading this.... Thank you for all your efforts.. they are very much appreciated!
Thanks to all of you on this forum who tried to help as well.
Let's cross our fingers and hope this is the end of this problem.
