First off, I did a search but didn't anything, but could be a user error lol so if there's a thread on this please point me in the right direction.

anyways....

Has anyone done a retrofit on fog lights? I'm getting ready to do a quad retrofit on the headlights and was curious about doing the fogs too.

Shove some 55watt 4500k in them. Make dang shure you use a https://www.theretrofitsource.com/c...-beam-880-881-relay-harness.html#.VkwCIJhb2rU

May i recomend changing from a 88X series bulb to a 9005/6 series. And get the apropriate projector fog light plates.

For one reason. One hid bulb type can be used in your low, high and fogs..
Foook having a 900X up top and a 88X down low.
This allows you to toss a ballast and a bulb in the glove box for emergencys and it works for ALL of your forward lights.

Im gonna be buying smoke housings for everything. Denali is black, everything is black. Gonna put mini h1's from TRS in the lows/highs doing a quad. putting in new fogs too. i know the ebay projectors are trash so thought about doing a retro on them too. im replacing all the stock housings

Good luck retro anything but matchbox projectors into those pos plastic oem denali fogs.

Even with those the projectors withany kind of decent hid power will melt the lenses, they are plastic.

Dump that garbage and go with a pure projector driving light.
Mine are FS and and plug n play.

Im confused,
Do you want smoked lenses or black buckets with your retrofit?

What housings are you using to retrofit. Aldo Might I recommend that you do black housings with clear lens vs smoked lens. The smoked lens is gonna kill your light output. Also I would use 2 different projectors. That way one can compliment the other. Also quad minis is gonna have a TON of foreground light. I did TL and Mini quad. The TL's have great distance and high beam, the minis have great up close and foreground light so they compliment each other very well.

Unless you are completely sold on the smoked lens, I would certainly swap to black housing clear lens. In my signature there is a link to my quad build thread. Check it out.

Keep in mind once you have the headlights apart, you can paint them any color you want, so your not just limited to black or chrome.

Sweet. I'd looked at the thread before, didn't know that was you. Nice job. It came out great. Reason i was gonna go with Mini h1s is because there is bracket made to fit them onto the denali headlights and it should make it alot easier for that part.... But i may be persuaded otherwise lol. How much light output is lost with smoked lenses. A significant amount?
