I've got a guy interested in my '73 Harley. He's wanting to swap a 1986 Jeep J2000 truck for it. I was going to rent a trailer with surge brakes but the deck is only 12 feet and the wheel base is a little over 13 feet. I can rent a tow dolly that will handle the truck.

The truck has the AMC 360 with the Chrysler 727 torqueflite. If I use a tow dolly, will I be able to tow it with the transfer case in neutral or will I need to disconnect the driveshaft? If it has the optional full time, I know I'll have to pull the shaft. Anybody ever fool with these?

I would pull the shaft just for peace of mind . Can still drive it on and off the dolly in fwd.

This reminds me I have a d20 case to sell.
