2006 Denali Navigation to 2006 Yukon - Plug in upgrade or no?

Sorry guy I am not electronic savvy... I must rely in your expertise.

I found a 6 CD Changer / Radio / Navigation from a 2006 Denali... I was wondering if this would plug in / work if I remove my Yukon Radio...

No. Denali = LUX system

and

Yukon = NON LUX

you would have to get the factory amp do some re-wiring.


It's just cheaper at that point to do an aftermarket setup unless you just really want to keep it factory looking.

To make it work, you will need the GPS antenna and an amp from a Denali/Escalade from 03-06. Then you have to swap somewires around at the amp and splice a wire from the speedometer to get the speed function to work for the nav. Lastly, a quick reprogram from the dealer or someone online you can find to program it to your VIN.

Also, the 6CD changer is separate from the radio. It was mounted in the console. The radio in the first picture has the 6CD built into it. The NAV only has one disc capability unless you add the auxiliary 6CD player.
