I recently saw a 2006 Suburban w/ L59 5.3 engine and I noticed the fuel rails looked a lot like the fuel rails that are on a TBSS/NNBS intake manifold. Both were the SS box type rail. Anyone know if these are the same fuel rail?
I have a NNBS intake for future use, but it has no fuel rails currently, so I'm looking for a set of rails.
Also wondering what injectors the NNBS/TBSS intake has from the factory and how they compare to the Flex Fuel L59 injectors 33#?
I've read the L59 FF injectors are a 33# slightly higher rating over the std. LM7 5.3 engine injectors.
In researching the NNBS/TBSS swap, I seem to remember reading previously that the Flex Fuel engine made for an easier swap for some reason, but I can't remember what that reason was. Anyone know what about the Flex Fuel 5.3 adapts easier to the NNBS/TBSS swap?
Lastly, my '04 5.3 L59 has a return line. Is the corvette filter the only option for converting to NNBS/TBSS manifold and using it on a return style fuel system?
Thanks in advance for weighing in on this thread.
