The liftgate on my 2006 Tahoe stopped functioning. I can no longer open my rear lift gate. The actuator was replaced less than a year ago and it stopped functioning again. Can it be another bad actuator in less than a year?

For some odd reason are there no liftgate locks on the 2006 models? I cannot find the lock anywhere to try and open the liftgate manually.

Any suggestions?

I found a couple of other threads but no resolution.

Those struts go bad every now and then. I had a broom stick to prop mine up at one point. That's probably one of the things you'll replace the most on your tahoe.

check out this blog - it describes exactly what is happening.

I have the same issue with my 2006 Yukon XL. I temporarily set it to unlock mode and then unplugged it until I get a new one. The GM part number is 15808595. The cheapest I can find it is on gmpartsdirect for almost $250. I am waiting to see if an aftermarket one will come available soon.
