SOULSEA - What size tire is on your truck on your picture bellow your post? Are those 275/55's? Is this what would be recommended for my 4x4 Yukon with the Denali 20"s?

FELIXGUN - Please educate me. So 2000 - 2006 is a NBS vehicle, while NNBS is 2007 and up? Did I get this right? So my '06 Yukon is a NBS vehicle while SOULSEAS is a NNBS?

Do these abbreviations stand for anything?

Thanks again.

J my rims are 22s ... so my tire is 285/45/22.

The spec tire size for that 20" is 275/55/20 ... but you can go a little wider if you want to, like a 285/50/20. But please don't buy crap tires like Lexani. :)

So if you were me, would you go 275/55 or 285/50 on the width, based on the sidewall being taller on the 275 and me going off the pavement at times?

What tire do you recommend for occassional off the pavement as well as in the snow driving conditions?

Thanks.

The sidewall height difference is going to be 1/3 of an inch less on the 285/50. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

Personally I'd go for the wider tire. :)

There's usually no issue with rubbing stepping up just one tire size, but you might want to run it by another nbs owner to be 100% sure. :waytogo:

They usually come with Bridgestone Dueller Alenza HL's, at least the Chevy LTZs do. And so far, from what I can tell, they are a pretty good wet and dry tire(didn't want to say "all season'). If you're going off the pavement at times I would suggest a tire that's a little more aggressive.

It really depends on the ration of paved to off road driving you do ...

If it's around 90% pavement and 10% dirt then I'd go with the oem spec gy or bstone tires which are Goodyear Eagle LS-2, P275/55R20 and Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza, P275/55R20.

If it's a lot more off road then an AT tire would be preferable. I don't know much about AT tires but the GM spec one is the Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S_P275/55R20 ... but there are probably better and cheaper ones than that.

Thanks very much everyone.

Checked out a Tahoe today with the 285/50/20 tires on it. Looked awesome I thought and suppossedly no rubbing issues.

As I am currently running a 285/75/16 tire and it is not rubbing, I would assume the 285/50/20 will not either.

Thanks again everyone, thoroughly enjoying this Forum.
