2007 denali 6.2L engine knock at 2000 rpm's

Turns out they think it is a valve or something in the oil pan that is stuck and keeping he oil from getting to the top of the motor cause that is where the knock is. They are going to have it fixed and if that doesn't solve it then they thought maybe oil pump. I got them to offer $1500 towards repairs which is very nice of them since I did buy it as is but I think it was definitely bad when I bought it.

I'm unaware of anything that would keep the oil from getting to the top of the motor other than a clogged filter or a broken barbell.
