2007 Yukon Denali. Tow a boat and trailer with it at about 6500lbs. Noticed my compressor runs for the auto leveling and the bags fill but don't stay filled. Dealer says both rear air shocks are done. Fix is about 2K. My concern is that is this going to fix the problem. Towing my boat now the suspension sits way low.

Also an annoyance, these were not covered by my GM extended warranty.
Anyone have any experience with these rear shocks?

Is that part from Arnott Industries as good or better than OEM? Dealer told me shocks were 700 bucks each. I'm not mechanically inclined I'm afraid.

It's the dealer replacement. Kinda like getting the same part from an auto parts store like NAPA instead of the dealer. Same part, lower cost. That is what the link mattah posted are.

The link I posted are OEM shocks that have been remanufactured. Basically, old, bad shocks like your fixed and in "like new" condition.

If you have a jack and a few tools, you can do it yourself. If you can't and don't have anyone to help, I'm guessing you can take them to a shop like midas or something similar and they will install them for a fee of an hour or so of labor.

Stupid question......but please enlighten me.

Say someone wants to put Air shocks in into a standard non autoride suspension.

Something like Monroe Max Air or something to haul/tow so the suspension does not sag.... people are quick to advise against it. The reasoning being that the extra load is being supported by the shock brackets and mounting points vs. the actual spring. Air bags are recommended instead. Again, I understand the reasoning and do think bags are better that is why I bought them.

But my question is why does GM get away with "Airshocks" on a $50,000+++ SUV???????

Are they not the same difference?

So I ordered and installed the Arnott industries Refurbished Shocks and they work great! But just the other day (about 3 weeks after install I got a
"Check Suspension System" error. Local dealer says the code is showing an "open" something or other from the shock, and the shock needs to be replaced to clear the code. The shock is working fine. Anyone know anything about this?

I had the "Service Suspenion System" code also, and it was as a result of the air compressor failing - specifically one of the two wires that comes out of the integrated air pressure sensor mounted to the compressed air outlet had corroded and disconnected. It wasn't immediately obvious, so you may need to dismount your air compressor to give it a thorough inspection. I chose to just order a replacement compressor from Arnott.

Unfortunately, you cannot read suspension codes with a standard code reader, it seems as though it is necessary to take it to the dealer for that. If your shocks are new, I would imagine that they are not the source of the problem, but either the compressor is dead from running too much after your shocks blew out, or you may have either a pressure sensor or condensation sensor problem. The replacement compressor comes with the integrated pressure sensor, but the condensation sensor is mounted to the air dryer and stays with your truck, so if that is the problem, you will only need the sensor. But, you would still have to take it to the dealer to determine that because of the code reader issue.
