2007 GMC Yukon Denali HVAC

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon denali XL and the HVAC problem I am having is that I get hot air out of the driver side in cold air out of the passenger side when I put on the AC. I also can not select my desired vent position it blows out the dash only nothing on the floor for the defroster. I have already changed the blend actuator door that did not fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

well there is more than 1 blend door, did you observe the actuator as you adjusted the settings to confirm you did the correct one? if all the blend doors move correctly then it would probably be a calibration issue

When I went to calibrate the actuators by disconnecting the negative terminal for 2 minutes and then putting the Ignition key on to the on position I did not hear any actuators making any noise is it possible there is a bad relay that operates the actuators I checked the fuses anddid not see any blown fuses.?

you will want to pull that bottom cover off so you can see the actuators, then observe each one individually as you adjust all the settings on the controller, if the observed actuator does not move for any setting then it is likely faulty. as you test each one you will be able to determine which one does what

are you sure? take a flashlight and shine it at the slotted hole, when you adjust the temp/up/down, air up/down, defrost/floor, etc you should see that slot in the hole rotate one way or the other, they may not make any noise in fact they shouldn't make much noise at all it would have to be pretty quite to hear it.

There are four actuators; to know what is actually wrong and not throw parts at it you've got to get the codes. What if your controller is on the fritz? You've just spent good money for no gains. Unless my memory is failing me, the only way to properly calibrate the actuator's is via the Tech-2 or other bi-directional scan tool.

The actuator underneath the dash on the driver's side controls the temperature. There are two in the center, one on top and one underneath that control each side individually, the top for the passenger, bottom for the driver if I remember right. The other one on top, mounted sideways is to control the amount of fresh air introduced to the system. There are two more in the back for the rear AC.

If they are bad, hopefully you bought AC Delco and not Dorman or some other brand, they never last if they work at all.
