After swapping 33s onto the Tahoe a couple weeks ago, I noticed the transmission started acting different. On occasion, it would clunk on the 2 - 1 downshift. Nothing hardcore but a noticeable clunk. This didn’t worry me a ton because it didn’t happen a lot. It only happened a couple times when it was cold.
What is worrisome is the reverse might be going. Going into reverse isn’t a problem. Everything is shifting, but pulling up out of my drive way the passed few days, reverse is not grinding per say but almost felt like my tires were rubbing super bad. No grinding noise, nothing nasty metallic smells. Just reverse is jumping and missing it seems. Is this common? What’s the fix? I’m seeing some folks are saying reverse solenoid? Haven’t gotten around to checking the fluid yet, just got to work.
Anyone dealt with a similar issue?

Ive got 187k miles on the Tahoe. Never had serious mechanical issues.

also, anyone ever swapped a GMperformance trans?
