I have a 2007 Yukon XL. When the vehicle is started "park assist off" displays on the DIC. The problem is there are no sensors on my rear bumper and no button on the dash. My first thought is that perhaps the bumper was replaced and to save money someone opted to put on a non-park assist bumper and possibly even went so far as to remove the button in the dash and put the filler in it's place. It's just an annoyance to have to look at that OR push a button to remove it from the DIC. Ok, I'm sure some of you are saying just push a darn button and it goes away. At first I was in agreement but now I'd like to figure out what the cause is. Any ideas?

That's what I was thinking.

I've seen that message on mine but only if I put it in reverse while the parking brake is still engaged.
