Sorry, I've been terrible about updating this thread... I just looked and it doesn't seem like I took any pictures during this last fuel upgrade. There really isn't much to upgrading the pump. Use the factory bucket and gut the thing, saw off or grind down anything on the inside of the bucket to make as much room for the pumps and fuel volume possible. Drill a hold in the top of the bucket with a step drill for an AN bulkhead, use a 90 degree fitting (or two) off the top and a Y fitting if using dual pumps. Wiring is plug and play with a Racetronix hot wire kit (you can also make your own). They make a kit for single and dual pumps that works great. Run -8AN if you plan to use E85 or are making big power. It's a pretty simple install, if your truck is newer you might have a FPCM that controls the OEM pump voltage, you might need to reprogram it if you plan to keep it.
**I forgot to add that with dual pumps, you should drill some 1/4" holes about halfway up on the front of the bucket to avoid sucking the bucket dry when under 1/2 tank of gas. Also, dump the return using the factory supply directly into the bucket. Make sure you use submersible fuel rated hose in the tank and just zip tie the pumps together. With two pumps and the socks on the bottom, there is really no movement or anywhere for the pumps to go.
Thanks! I will be taking my 2014 Tahoe to the dealer and have them fix the clogged canister/vent so while the tank is down I wanted to upgrade the pump for upcoming blower. I have the 5.3 LMG flex fuel engine.
