2007 Yukon OBD Light

Hi guys

Wonder if someone could help

I have a 2007 Yukon. My OBD light has come on and is a steady light (not flashing). Also, my remote start has also stopped working. Are the 2 faults linked and does anyone have any suggestions as to what the light might have come on for?

If the light is on, that means there are stored codes. Pulling those codes would definitely start you in the right direction if not give you an exact cause. Good luck.

@Desert Driver You definitely want to have those codes scanned first. CELs could come on for several engine/drivetrain related issues.

Your remote start system will not function if the CEL is illuminated. It’s Sort of like a fail safe that’s set from the factory.
