Another n00b here!

I just bought a 2007 Yukon XL SLT and I need/want to do some upgrades, but, I am clueless as to where to even begin.

It is silver-birch metallic.

I think I would like to do the HID lights and then maybe LED lighting on the interior but other than that, I am just looking for suggestions.

Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated! I mean ANYTHING!

Thanks!

welcome Matt, is it completely stock? Plan on any wheel chages, or start off small, then work your way up?

It is completely stock...well....except for the AVS vent visors...LOL!

Wheels are definitely something I want to do in the future but for now, I need to let my wife get used to the payment shock before I go too balls out. So I guess I do need to keep things small for now...

HID's are a common on here.If you get HID's make sure to get a relay for them. There is also exhaust and a tune. If you want.

I too am a proud new owner of an 07 Yukon SLT steel gray. Only had it a few weeks and so far I added a denali grill upper and lower pieces and painted the GMC emblem to match, and added 20% tint on the front 2 windows. Think my next mods are hids, chrome door handles, led tails and a hitch cover similar to the denalis. Then maybe some 24's and a drop.

i would say minimum mods are

BlackBear Tune
HIDs
Window Tint

followed with
leveling, your choice of lowered or raised
Wheels/Tires, depending on choice above
LED tails
and an ice cream paint job

debadge ( free)
detail, clay and wax ( weekedn garage, relatively free)
tint front windows to match
lower rear just to level it
Black Bear tune
wheels

probably from cheapest to most $$, but it works :)

LOL @ brent... "ice cream paint job"

its all personal preference bro. do you want to go performance or looks first? usually, people i know went with an exhaust and intake first.

Don't forget about the bump in the trunk! -- But I think grille, chrome handles, rims (craiglist is great and cheap!), and a level kit is the best way to get started. And you get most bang for your buck (I think anyways) by doing those.
