2007 Z71 Tahoe leveled

Level looks good. Can't figure out if I wanna level, or lower mine.


The lights you guys mentioned, any brand that we should stay away from? Reasons?

Id recommend leveled, to me looks much better than lowered. I don't really know anything about the lights so I cant help you out with that

How long until you get tires? I just got a 2007 z71 suburban and am thinking about this same kit or the bilstein adjustables. I'll be interested to know how your tires fit. Especially the duratracs.

Are you keeping stock wheels?

I can't comment on the Bilstein, but I went with a Readylift 2.25"/ 1.5" leveling kit and 295/65/18 Duratracs. I had to trim the front lower valance and I was able to adjust the plastic valance behind the sidebars as it was very close (thinking of removing them all together). Handling has not changed, ride seems a bit stiffer but completely manageable.

Im trying to decide between the nitto trail grappler 285/65/18's and the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 295/65/18's. Anyone recommend one over the other?

Both are good, IMO depends on your use. The Trails will be better in the mud and DuraTrac is better on the street. You are down south, but if you drive in the snow/ice the DuraTracs are the way to go.

Did you have to remove the front license plate on the z71 bumper for the center guard to fit properly, or did you not have the front plate on to begin with?

I read that there will be contact between the step bar and plate on the z71 bumpers, Tx requires front plate so im hesitant to try to remove it from the bumper entirely...

If it's a fitment issue Im thinking i could ditch the oem plate mount and rig something low profile for the front plate.

I already had it off so I'm not sure if it would need to be removed or not but my guess would be that you need too. The go rhino came with brackets for a front license plate though, I just didn't use them since its not required in sc

My 2007 z71 tahoe leveled with 2.5/1" ccm leveling kit, running boards removed and go rhino 3000 series grille guard. New tires coming soon

I love the look, I just leveled mine, and looking into a 275/65 tire....I have contemplated removing the step bars, but your pics and justified, that if I do, it needs to have the front valance caps removed.

Yeah I've thought about removing those. I think it looks much better without the step bars and will probably stay without them unless I decide I need them after bigger tires but even then I would probably get some n-fab step bars to put on
