2008 5.3L oil pressure

I've read many different issues, mine is backwards of most. Cold pressure is 25-30, once up to warm temp I'm around 40-50 depending on RPMs. Does anyone know if this is a sensor issue, or something else ? Thank you

2008 Tahoe LTZ, 5.3L, 170K miles. It has had a lot of maintenance done to it by the previous owner. Engine seems to run perfect, had a little condensation at the oil cap, thinking that was due to daily very short trips. I got the truck recently, and changed the oil already, added a qt of Lucas synthetic to try and help.

Do you know what was done by the previous owner?

I think the condition you describe is a little unusual, but another member here who has done some extensive work on his truck is experiencing the same symptoms, if perhaps a little more extreme.

I have no clue if the sensor was done. I'll try to get at it, see if it looks newer. Thinking about just getting a new one to try, and a screen if it lists one for it. It is baffling, backwards from normal. I've read about the o-ring on the pick up, but never saw anyone have this issue with it.

Reading that thread, it does sound similar, but a little different. I guess starting with the easiest, can check the sensor first. Also debated an engine flush and change the oil again. Some say a flush like Seafoam is good, some say not to. It does look like there is some type of very small oil leak above the starter area, just enough to look wet on the block.

Careful with any sort of flush.
My engine had a ton of carbon and sludge build up.
I used seafoam before an oil change, and it released the demons.

I'm rebuilding my engine right now... not fun.

Oil is much thinner when warmed up, so if you had a real issue you'd most likely be seeing the opposite. Higher cold, much less warm.
