Just hit 158k. Has duals along with 3.27 gears. 2 old guys owned it so it wasn't beat on. Surprisingly there's no lag--at all. When I romp it, or even just gradually step on it--it goes--and it goes FAST. Imo the shifts are right where they belong. Probably has a slightly different tune since it's a sport(?) I have 2 brand new Borlas I was thinking of putting in. I also read about taking 2 of the 4 cats out--but Idk if I want to do that. After driving the hoe and my van, I kind of like the quiet now lol. It has the touchpad on the door, but the guy didn't remember the code. I read the code should be on the DDM behind the driver's door panel--no luck. Unless someone takes it off, there's usually a sticker with the code on the trunk hinge, of course it's gone. Do you know a way I could find or figure out the code?View attachment 382189

Do you have a thread for this car? Didn't realize you picked this up. :)

Low miles still has plenty of life left in it, the LX Sport is basically a Marauder without the engine it’s identical mechanically other then that and the cosmetic stuff, you can get rid of the back two cats should make it a lil louder or just do mufflers or do both lol, so for the code you need Forscan which I have if your ever up this way or go to a Ford dealer and then can use IDS to pull it, might be able to find a non Ford dealer that has IDS or someone local with Forscan

I haven't even thought about doing a build thread. If I do anything, it'll be small, minor stuff--that's how I feel now anyway.

I'm really tempted to redo the exhaust, but it runs so good--and it's quiet lol.
I'm still hoping to get the code from the former owner. Btw--taking the traction control off itll spin the tires with no problem.

Even if it’s just minor stuff a build thread would be nice to see the factory exhaust should be stainless steel might not be the best type some are better then others but if it’s in good shape I’d do tips, swap the mufflers and call it a day that’s what I did on the 05 on this one the exhaust was shot so did a complete cat-back, and they definitely do spin nicely with the traction control off

I def gotta stick my head under there and really check out the exhaust. I'd like to try and maintain that stealthy cosmetic/stock look. The other day while going to work I was behind a guy who was speeding--so was I--he must've thought I was a cop. He started hitting his brakes, then he pulled over into the shoulder. I thought he saw something that I couldn't, so I started to pull over too--until I realized why he was pulling over lol. Funny, but annoying at the same time.

That’s the most frustrating thing about these cars is getting stuck behind people that go under the limit etc. nice thing is at a four way stop the other people usually let you go first even if you stopped last lol first day I had the push bar on going down the road car cuts me off then a minute latter pulls over waves me to pass then gets behind me lol

Awhile back I noticed the driver side upper door bushing is shot but they aren’t replaceable you need to replace the whole hinge so picked up a set of OEM hinges need to get them painted and I’ll throw them on or might have a shop do them depends how much of a pain they are.

Back to the lighting I’ve added here it is. First lights I added were the plate lights they are Whelen TIR3 vertical mount in white.

Then I added a Whelen 3rd brake light setup it’s Crown Vic specific it goes over the 3rd brake light it was a NOS find they are red/blue split.

Then I added the Whelen 500 series mirror beams, basically you pull the mirror caps off the housings go in place of those with double sided tape and a screw in the bottom corner and need to carefully drill a hole to route the wire in the mirror so they still fold if that matters, those lights are TIR6 in white.

Once I had the push bar mounted I picked up another set of Whelen TIR3 in white but this time horizontal mount.

The last lights I added are Whelen ION’s in a red/blue split in the rear windows.

When I got the car the lights were controlled by switches on the LH dash panel so I picked up a Whelen box for the lights. It’s set up as headlight flasher, red/blue then all the white lights/strobes on another.

Then I wired in a kill switch for the lights it’s a 3 position switch ones in the glove box other is under the hood so if I ever get questioned about the lights I just gotta pop the hood and show them until you activate that switch they won’t work, kills everything lights/siren, need to finish up the mount for the switch.
