Update. The dealer kept the truck for another day, drove it and let it idle, and did not replicate the problem. We retook possession of it as rental costs were mounting.
GM Canada contacted me and are looking into the issue as it is the second documented but unresolved occurrence.
With regards to the fuel pressure test, can someone direct me as to an easy way to test this as I'm not familiar with any port etc where this can be done, especially if this happens again on the side of the road.
