I like those Rege. Similar to the KMC D2s which I like a lot. Have you thought about the Marcellino Concepts in 24"? I was thinking about those until I found out they are not offered in 22's.
My mom thought about D2's but I said those are macho's she always gets really confused when I say macho and not Jarin
Those concepts are one of my favorite wheels.
Same
This is too hard.

Seriously, my mom just emailed our guy at les schwab to try and get either Platinum wheels in gloss black, normal esky 24's gloss black or 2crave no 11's we'll see what he says and then hopefully we'll order in the next 2-3 weeks

The d2's are for anyone who gots the $$$!

I know I know. I'm confusing....and awesome. But Not as confusing and AWESOME as which rims to pick for your ride. Running a 24 really does open up the door on rim choices, bc almost any type of wheel looks good at that size, IMO. Best of luck on the decision. I say you can't go wrong with any of your options.

Tony has a deal on the Concepts btw.

Those Platinums are siiiiiiiick also!

24's are generally a very heavy wheel.

The D2 are some of the lightest one available.

I think with all these replicas in 24's available it is REALLY hard to pass up.

These wheels look "factory clean", yet are smokin'.

If I was in the market, I too would seriously consider the Concept or the 24 Replicas available. I know these types will be easy to sell too on down.

Most all of what Giovanna/Gianelle and the "factory style replicas" are putting out right now are sure fire IMO.

24s probably weight just about as much as the stock 20s. My 26s are only 10 lbs heavier than the stock wheels, so the 24s would be 2-3 lbs heavier than 20s at the most.
Replica wheels and the stock wheels are the wheels that are pretty heavy for what they are. If I had forged 26s, they would probably weigh the same as the stock wheels.

Modded, so is it safe to say that most aftermarket 22's would be lighter than GM 20's? And GM 22's are heavier than most aftermarket 22's?

Not arguing with Neo. He is a friend. :)

In my personal findings....

I know for a fact that say a factory Denali 20 (the pretty chrome ones) is 37 pounds.

I asked factory reproductions as well about the TBSS. They are 37 pounds for a 22.

Most aftermarket 20s are 32-42 pounds.

It really depends on the manufacturers. Some wheels like Demodas are really heavy.

Amongst the lightest wheels available are the D2s.

If you go on tirerack.com and search your application a whole list of wheels pulls up. From there you can sort them by factors such as weight.

This way you can see some of the lightest ones to the heavy ones.

My AR840 are among the lighter ones. Stock Escalade 22s with the tires are about 98 pounds.

One also has to figure in the rotational mass factor.

A 24 inch wheel at 37 pounds is going to still handle and affect performance differently than a 20 inch 37 pound wheel. Simply because the rotational mass is located further away from the mounting point.

A 5 pound weight rotating from a 2 foot piece of rope is easier to stop than a 5 pound weight rotating from a 4 foot piece of rope.

A 5 pound reduction at the rotors is much less apparent than a 5 pound reduction at the edge of the rim.... which is the heavier part of the wheel.

Larger wheels also increase unsprung weight....which is a negative for handling.

Depending on the tire size. Sometimes, people forget that the larger wheels have skinny tires that weigh less. Look in my most recent thread and you will see that the factory 17s with ATs weigh just 10 pounds less that the 26" wheel.tire combo.

And Lee I agree with you completely on the rotational mass factor. It is the main cause for the minimal decreased breaking power.

You guys talking about D2s made me think you were talking about these (http://d2forged.com/) before going back and seeing it was the KMC D2 you were referring to.
Those forged wheels are real nice, but at a very costly luxury tax. I priced their 26" VS9 wheel a while ago and it was $2300/wheel.
