I'm shopping for a trailer to tow a Corvette (3,200 lbs). Can my rig comfortably pull an enclosed trailer or should I really be looking for an 18-20' open?

Your good as long as you dont pass your gross vehicle weight. If its enclosed make sure you get the brake controller and weight distribution hitch. I tow a 26 foot travel trailer, no problem. My buddy tows his 51 chevy(which weighs alot more than your vette) In an enclosed trailer all over the country. If you have doubts go to a reputable trailer vendor and they will let you know if your ok.

Well being its a z71 I think u shouldnt have any problem towing an enclosed 18' trailer which will weight around 2,500 lbs. Well at least thats what mine weights and 3,200 lbs for d vette. It will do just fine.

do you have the transmission cooler? If you're planning on doing a ton of towing it can't hurt.

Not sure about the trans cooler. I'm buying a 20' aluminum open (1,200 lbs) so I should be -well- within the limits of the vehicle. I figured I'd try the open trailer first and if it's not big enough I'll go enclosed in the future.
