does anyone have the costar bluestar thing in their trucks? i just put it in my 08 yukon but have a few questions. how do i use it to make a call or answer a call. if i make or answer from my phone it works. wasnt sure if this is normal or if i could use the onstar button to place or answer a call. the number comes up in the display in the cluster and it rings and all but i cant answer it unless i use the phone to answer. if i hold the button on the steering wheel that mutes the radio it beeps then after a min says something like no voice recognition heard. i try to say call or dial it doesn't do anything. any help would be nice thank you in advance.

From the way I understand those, the Bluestar works with the overhead Onstar buttons for answering and dialing. You have to push the voice dial button on the mirror for like 2 seconds to answer a call or voice dial out. Then the steering wheel buttons will control the volume.
Thanks doc you are very helpful. But this thread can be deleted or closed. It was an issue with the settings on the unit I finally got it figured out after back and forth emails. The buttons wouldnt work to answer they did nothing. Now the steering wheel button works to answer and hang up as it should. And they have great customer service too. Very helpful .
