My dads isn't a escalade, its a 2012 LTZ avy. They may be different or he could've just got a bad one. His came stock with that. I don't think his has any leather.

Seeing as its my dads, I won't be able to get a pic of his until I see him next. This is a stock photo from auto trader on a 2013 ltz avalanche. I'm guessing any of the guys with 2012-13 tahoes or burbans will have the same thing. It looks just like this except the chrome part peeled off lol

I really wish GM would use real metal accents, especially on smaller parts like this shifter end.

I would be willing to pay the extra 10.00 or whatever it cost them to do it.

Being on TYF all day reading peoples problems will do that to ANYONE lol

For sure. I worry too much myself. If my truck had a 6 speed, I would upgrade to that shifter as well.
