I have a 2009 Yukon xl 5.3. Lifters are bad. I wanna order the kit to delete the afm, cam included. Where would be the best spot to buy a complete kit? Best price.
I'm not looking for more hp or performance gains. Just reliability.
Thanks

Thanks!
I have been reading also, the ECM to delete code seems a tad expensive. Chain dampener also not included in all kits.
Can a local gm dealer fix the ECM to delete the afm?

I have a new GM Factory AFM delete cam for sale specifically for the 5.3, it wont require a full tune (but it will need to have the AFM disabled via tune) and would be perfect for what you are looking for...and you could just purchase the AFM delete kit from SDPC

A dealer isn't gonna program anything outside of what GM specs for your VIN. Chain dampener isn't such a big deal as the LS2 style is only like $20, if I recall correctly.
Get a local performance shop to tune your PCM just to turn off AFM or have them tune it for power as well. I had a local shop turn off AFM, delete the rear O2 sensors, delete the speed limiter and slightly lessen the Torque Management for $150. You might can find someone selling their Range device. Or, the absolute cheapest option is: http://lt1swap.com/afm_delete.htm
