I'm the original owner of a 2003 Yukon XL and I couldn't be happier with my truck. Just clicked over 200K and she still runs strong. I just did a mild refresh of the exterior with new 22" snowflake wheels painted Eastwood platinum gray metallic, deleted the roof rack and painted the roof, hood and color-matched the rear bumper (thinking of doing the front), and color-matched the grille logo. I replaced the driver leather seat cover on the interior. Just need new carpet and audio upgrades to complete the interior. If anyone is think of owning a Yukon, you'll be happy to know that after 16 years I'm still completely satisfied.

IMG_4851.JPG Hello Fellow Manatee resident. I'm in Parrish, and have an 05 Yukon, original owner.
225,000 and couldn't be happier with my ride.
It has sat outside its entire life so I am going to have to paint the roof and hood as well.
Other than that no major problems. I picked up some Denali wheels and tires a few years back.
Tranny, and diff never opened up.l Mobil 1 every 6,000. Do it myself since new.
I did have a water leak and I fixed the rear main seal last year.
No doubt this truck has a lot of life left. Every time I drive it I am amazed at how it still feels tight and drives like new.

Nice ride Mike. I actually form Sarasota. Mountie is from Manatee. Your truck looks great. I've also used Mobil 1 since new. BTW, I painted the roof and hood myself. Not too bad if you have a good compressor. Now days with basecoat/clearcoat it's Pretty easy. But don't let it go too long. My roof started peeling and I waited too long. Took a lot longer to prep because of that. Mine has never been garaged either. Eventually those side moldings just start to disintegrate. Is yours dark gray or black?

Mine is carbon grey.
I did install the rear Escalade vents. I have some of the base/ clear left but it sure enough to do the whole roof and hood.
They turned out OK, but not as nice as the factory finish.
I don’t have compressor large enough(I don’t think)
