Just picked up a 2010 Escalade, currently there is some excessive wind noise from the drivers side door/window (haven't narrowed it down yet). Is there some fix for this? I assume I can adjust the door a bit tighter, but am also willing to invest in better/newer seals or whatever will help.

Tricks for narrowing down the source I am interested in as well. I will do some acoustic sound deadening and add acoustic barriers to the door inners itself when I do the stereo, but right now the dominant noise is leaking from the seals.

My '05 Tahoe has the same problem, I haven't been able to correct it. Mine is only bad on windy days. Let us know if you figure it out...

I'd like more info on this too. I have got it back on my esky. I have had an 08 tahoe that didn't have any of this, and my 07 avalanche doesn't either. But the esky has a shit ton of wind noise.. so aggravating.

I think it is a common propblem but with most trucks. As I had the issue with my 07 Tahoe and with the 10 Escalade I don't have the issue.

i know exactly what to and if you have balls to attack mods on your own your should have enough to do this, its exactly what they would do at the autobody shop just not in front of a customer cause they would freak. stand on the inside of the door with it open. place knee on the sill below the window. grab top of the door with both hands and pull the top back towards yourself, slightly bending the top towards yourself. and that would tighten up the seal.

Can you illustrate this?

Definitely upper front of the door that the link "shows" to fix. I'd rather try and adjust the hinges and/or upgrade/refresh the seals if it would work.

Has anyone ever added material or beefed up the seals in any way to make them more effective?
