Not to troll, but I'm going to be a Junior in high-school this coming August & I know the difference between them. Automatically assuming that everyone in a target age-group has far less superior knowledge as compared to that of our elders.... Well, that's where You're wrong ;).

Regarding the OP's Yukon... Well, to each his own. Me personally, I couldn't justify destroying a near-perfectly good Denali like that, but that's just my opinion ;). That's the thing with modding. It stems from personal preference, or each person's individuality. I'm sure that some of you guys don't like my Tahoe, or what I've done to it, but like I said, modding is a display of personal preference.

Good to know there are a few educated 15 year olds left out there. :Handshake:

I have never liked chrome on anything. The term "destroying" is a bit harsh when all im really doing is taking the chrome off lol. I did the same to all the other cars ive had.

Not only am I old, I must have fallen off this planet into The Twilight Zone.

15 years old, 11th grade, a $30,000 Tahoe and a driver's license?

Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper to buy an sle, slap on black rims and upgrade some interior features instead of buying a beautiful denali and pay extra to de-denali it?

I agree. I was wondering if I was the only one on this forum that did not consider it an improvement.

When I joined the forum I was questioned as to what mods I was going to make. Answer...none..it's a new car and I like it just like it is ...that's why I bought it.

I guess it's the same reason why anyone modifies a car. I just hate chrome lol. I don't know why that's so hard for people to understand. I did the same to my escalade.

The threads on here these days can skew to just about anything imaginable.
I guess its just one of the features of the internet.

Let's not bash Michael and his taste.
I would have done things differently from him if I had a Denali.
He would do things different from me if he had a Tahoe.
I would do things differently from most of the TYF SUVs on here if they were mine, and I am absolutely sure they would do things differently from me if my Tahoe was theirs.

For me a forum is about gaining knowledge of the vehicle and customizing them. If it weren't for customizing (like Michael did) what the hell would we type about on here? Every thread would revolve around "how to fix something that broke."

If this place turns into a GMFullSize I will have to find my way out of here (as hard as I know that will be).

The best thing about being 57......

... and I do not mean to belittle or insult anybody here.....

I grew up in an age when the public schools actually taught us quite a bit more than they have taught kids in the last 20 years. And it's a crying shame! Just one example -- anybody who went to and graduated from public schools in the last 20 years does not know the difference between "your" and "you're".

"your" is possessive....
as in, "Your beer turned over when we hit that last speed bump, slow down!"

"you're" is a contraction of you are.....
"You're going to spill your beer if you don't slow down on the speed bumps!"

The education system in this country has failed everybody lately!

OK.... so I lied! There is no best thing about being 57!
:emotions122:

I do not think the education system has varied as much as you think. The population has grown and the ability for people of all ages to connect and interact across various forms of media and social networking has emerged and exponentially grown in the last 20 years. It is just more in your face. I believe if we took IQ tests for each generation we would see roughly the same percentages of people falling into the different levels of intelligence. Now if we start talking about common sense... Well that's another story.

Baloney Francis. Your lecture sounds like a prissy 20 year old kindergarten teacher..."Play nice children."

What part of "Let me know what you guys think" don't you get?

You don't have to agree with our opinions. Just like we don't have to agree that the mods look good....especially those black rims that look like hell! Just my opinion.

If you are sensitive and you only want positive admiring feedback then say so ....maybe we could set up automated responses: looks great! Wow!

Maybe we're already there and that's why there are so few posters on this forum.

I'm not sensitive at all. Obviously I defend myself as to why I got a Denali and not a SLT. I also explained I hate chrome. You hate black wheels. Im not mad or looking for only positive feedback. This was more of a reintroduction type thread anyhow since I didn't really have a good one when I singed up. I'll just use this thread to update the progress of the truck.

Wow. I'm sorry, lol. I didn't realize that I used the term "destroying", I seriously didn't notice. That was very harsh, and I wouldn't have said it on purpose. And you didn't destroy it in my opinion, I just would have kept the chrome personally, that's all. Sorry to have been a jerk.

Not only am I old, I must have fallen off this planet into The Twilight Zone.

Is that hostility that I'm sensing? Anyway, you are partially correct, yes. Although I'm the sole owner/driver of the Tahoe, I only have a driving permit until August 2_, then I turn 16 & will get my license ASAP. And in an attempt to head off future remarks, no, MY Tahoe isn't daddy's car. My dad & I have just recently been blessed in a time of great emotional suffering with the ability to get a car that I want.

So no, I'm not an inconsiderate, conceded 15 year-old with a fancy car.

ANYWAY, haha. Back to the topic at hand. And yet again, OP, I apologize for being a jerk earlier. I seriously DID NOT realize that I said that you destroyed your Yukon, because IMO, you didn't.
