Well I'm back looking at used 'Hoe's and I'm just looking for owners honest thoughts of the reliability of the 2011-2013 Tahoes/yukons..... what issues have you had. .... what problems. .... what were the fixes and if you had to pay for them what did it cost you? I'm looking at used 4x4's with under 50k miles but plan to have it well into 100k+. Any insight would be greatly appreciated [emoji4]

i have '07 4x4 with 75K Miles
my one complaint is the crappy plastic dash, mine split on the arch above the steering wheel and to the left side of the passenger airbag, which seem to be the same locations many others have complained about.

I'm mainly concerned with mechanical but that's definitely something to look out for. Thanks!

I have an 07 LTZ with 140k on it now. Bought it from upstate NY and I've replaced too much to list. It didn't bother me because that's what I do for a living and I can buy the parts cheap to replace. As far as reliability goes, as long as the previous owner did the correct maintenance and took care of the vehicle, you should have no problems for years and years.

08 with 140k, no issues to think of other than a few cosmetic issues: cracked dash, peeling paint on exterior door handles, typical creaks and rattles associated with GM plastic interior parts. These LS based engines are strong as hell, and the transmissions are good too as long as you do the maintenance.

My step mom has a 2001 suburban with the 5.3 and it has almost 300k and she still uses it to tow her two horses weekly.

I traded my 03 tahoe because of a trans problem no one could diagnose without yanking the trans and transfer case. Didn't have the 500-800 just for that then How much ever it would have been to fix it. ....I loved it even though I'm a Ford guy but it had to go.

I have an '09 with 115k. Since new it has needed one wheel bearing, the water pump, creaking under the dash fixed, one lose body panel around the rear lights fixed, a rattle in the driver's door fixed, and 16 new lifters replaced. All that was done under warranty by the dealer. Normal wear and tear items include the battery, 2 new sets of tires, one set of plugs and wires, trans service, air filter x2, two sets of front brakes, one set of rear.
