Hi everyone. I'm new to the forums the good thing is I see that people have recent posts so I know there's still some activity and can definitely use some help. I've read through some other threads on similar issues but could not find my answer or maybe I overlooked it so I apologize if this was already on another thread.
I have a 2011 Yukon Denali with the 6.2 and that air ride suspension system. I mentioned this in another thread but didn't get a response so I'll try here.
About 3 weeks ago I installed new tires on the vehicle everything was fine. The following weekend on a family trip fully loaded with people in all seven seats I noticed that the tires were rubbing along the fender well Shield. Especially when trying to go like on state banking curved on ramps and off ramps. I noticed that both air shocks were completely shot and no air was holding in the bags. I assume that the air compressor also failed trying to keep up because it no longer functioned.
During Black Friday I purchased from LKQ A1 Auto Parts a replacement airbag shock and compressor kit. It got great reviews and lifetime warranty. I installed them when they arrived accordingly to their videos and instructions. When I turned on the vehicle the compressor kicked on the truck self-leveled and it was great. About another week goes by and the following weekend I had the same issue the bags were bottomed out and I noticed that the compressor wasn't kicking on.
I'll try to explain the step by step process that I did to diagnose.
I double checked all the wiring harness even crawled underneath the frame and I found no brakes in the wires or in the connectors nothing loose nothing corroded nothing wet. I checked fuses#2, #54, #58 according to the manual and other online sources. No fuses blown. I replace them anyways just in case nothing happened. I located the ASC relay and check the relay. It passed and clicked over when I connected the pins however it would not engage in the harness. I took alligator clamps with pins and bypassed pin number 30 to 87 and the compressor kicked on and ran just fine however it would not fill the bags. I disconnected the airline from the compressor I am getting air out of the compressor. I took an air nozzle and checked the airlines and there's no obstructions that I can see. The airlines are original but there's no cracks or kinks in the line.
I re pulled out the compressor and double checked all the hoses and wiring I don't see any shorts or issues all I know is it doesn't kick on. I also found the module after looking at other people's posts that's behind the spare tire and I don't see any issues with the wiring harness or the module itself like no damage or anything like that however I don't know if it's an internal issue or what to look for.
