Ok.... I searched for an answer everywhere I can think of, even called a few people. I have a 2011 Tahoe LTZ, heres the problem.

I jumped in to my truck this morning and adjusted my clock for daylight savings time. I stopped at a store. When I came back, the clock once again read the wrong time. So I adjusted it again. I drove for about an hour running errands (never shutting the truck off). The clock was perfect. Once I stopped for gas and the truck was off for more than 5 minutes, the time set itself back again! For whatever reason my truck keeps resetting its own time! It refuses to "spring forward".

Am I missing something? Some trick to these to make the time stay where I set it? This is just goofy!

As suspected, the dealership has no clue what to do to it either. They have done what they have to do to send it up the line. The service writer suspects they will be told to swap in a new nav unit. woohoo

The dealer called me today and asked me to stop by. They needed to get all the numbers off of my nav unit. They said that the GM techs are recommending replacing the unit. The service writer said he would call me when the new unit arrives. My service department seems to be doing a pretty good job. Not real happy that they are having to crack the dash open on my brand new truck.

Got a call this morning, the new nav unit has arrived at the dealership. I have an appointment for next Monday morning at 8am to have it installed. :party33:

Gotta love getting new stuff under warranty! Sounds like a really strange issue. I've never heard of that but maybe your LTZ has a mind of it's own and doesn't want to lose that hour of sleep! :D

Since this all started we have identified another glitch.... which may be normal, I don't have anything to compare it to.

Somewhere between 4 and 5 minutes after start up, the nav sort of resets itself. It don't lose navigation, but you hear a 1 to 2 second break in the sound and it disconnects the bluetooth connection. It reconnects a few seconds later, but if you were on a call, it has just dumped the call back to your handset. Pretty annoying. Hopefully the new unit will clear this all up.

None of these issues is a huge deal, they are just annoying. The dealership is also replacing the a pillar trim piece on the passenger side. It has a few scratches in it. At least the dealership has been cooperative through this. I just hope replacing the nav unit fixes everything. Then, hopefully, I won't have to visit the dealership ever again!!!
