Low oil pressure

My new 2011 w/5.3 liter engine does the same thing. Runs around 20 lbs. at idle and 40 lbs at 1500 rpm when hot. There is nothing in the manual about this. I assume this is normal due to the new type of engine.

My 07 Denali w/ the 6.2 is the exact same way, drops to 20 psi at idle when fully warm but will jump above 40 psi once you get the RPM's up.

Where do you live? What is it when the engne is warm?

Central Florida.
That is the pressure at an idle when the engine is warm. 20ish.

When it's cold it is around 30-40.
