Well actually serge would disapprove of the hids too. Lol

I used clear plastidip on my rear quarter lower panel.

Mud flaps are not a bad thing in real life. At least you don't have a bug guard

;)

On a serious note........ if you are going for the rugged look.... you need aggressive tires and a lift. :)

The chrome grille guard is iffy imo

Color match the bowties

I'm just messing ... if you need them you need them, especially if you drive that many miles.

The molded ones are nice, but the regular ones look a little more discreet and are equally functional.

Truly appreciating the honest feedback here. The look I'm trying to achieve is a somewhat subtle, yet not run of the mill, functional and not sacrificing the ride. In that vain, can't do the rugged tires as I do about 200 miles of highway driving at a shot on a fairly regular basis. The chrome in the front is bothering me to no end and I do plan on blacking out pretty much all of it. I only got the chrome grille guard because it's less prone to rusting. Some PlastiDip will fix all of that. I'm thinking of PlastiDippping the stock 20's for now. Anyone know if the wheels would need to be rebalanced afterwards or not? I'm thinking that should give it a pretty stealth look. The HIDs are a huge help on the highway but the 8000s are too blue. May scale back to 6000s. Learning as I go along what works better.

Plastidip is silly. Imo it is hard to take off after a while. It also fades with time and looks ****.

No rebalance needed.

Black 20s looks like 18s. It is a visual effect.

I haven't done it yet partly because I need to find one that isn't butt ugly - and overpriced.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been follow the forum for ages and have gotten plenty of useful tips already. Keep it up

Love those headlights. Are those retrofits on the factory housing or a complete kit? How much better is your lighting on account of it? I honestly see such a difference since I converted to HIDs and I don't want to give that up either. As I mentioned, I do lots of highway driving and quite a bit on rural county highways. Let me know where I can look those up. Thanks

Here are mine which are also in OEM replica housings. These are just a single project for the lo's whereas the others above have been retrofit for the hi's as well. A bit less expensive to do a single but the quad look is incredible.

This picture is just my DRL/Running lights dual switchback mod. Since they are LEDs they are much brighter in the dark than during the daytime.
