@Just00Jake I say this without any experience with the VVT system, mine is 2008 and doesn't have VVT. If it is anything like the AFM delete then the VVT plug harness will remain unplugged and just dangle because I assume the new part doesn't have a place for it to plug into? You should just need to turn it off in the computer with a tune
I know that I bought it, but what is the VVT Adapter for I wonder? Also here are pics of the cam lobes, starting from #1 on back. I hope you see a problem with it because my inexperienced eye didn't. I just hope all this gets my truck running again. I did have a lot of oil in my intake valve seals. And I had oil in my intake a little so I'm going to assume that is from the AFM. After everything that I'm doing this thing better run it in inviting you guys to a Tahoe roast

@Just00Jake I shouldn't speak on VVT related questions. You might have forgot to post the picture of the camshaft

Are you using the updated valve cover? That will help avoid your intake sucking oil in through the PCV system.

Man I know I have a million questions, but I like to learn what I'm doing rather than just blindly follow directions. What is this plug on the back of the old AFM plate? And where does it go since the only thing that looks to go on the new plate is the oil pressure sensor on the right

Controls the AFM solenoids. I removed the corresponding part from my AFM VLOM to use as a plug to seal off the plug on the harness. I think I just zip-tied it back there somewhere.
