2014 SSV..Passenger rear door flooded

I had the same issue last year. Will the water possibly damage the speaker?

It destroyed my speakers in both of my doors. They were soaked and fell apart. So currently do not have rear door speakers. GM apparently is using a foam like barrier between the inner door cards and the metal part of the door itself. Take it as sound deadening and a protector as well. That thing held the water from getting to the inner door cards.
