Hi everyone. I just got a 2014 Yukon Denali 2 weeks ago. I am going to do my own oil change soon. I would like to ask everyone for oil and filter recommendations. As far as I have read this motor is a bit "picky" on the type of oil and filter you use on it in relations to oil pressure readings, that is why I would like all your expert recommendations based on your experience. I thank everyone in advance for the help.

Everybody has an opinion on oil and filters

I use Napa Gold FIL 1522 or 1522. The Napa Gold line is made by WIX. If you have Orielley's or Checks or Checkers or whatever it's called, they have actual WIX brand and the part number is 51522.

Those are not on the books for our trucks, it's longer. It's from the 2002 4.8 and 6.0 GM and Hummer - but it's a perfect fit and bigger. More capacity and more filter are a plus in my book. To me, it's actually easier to use because it's longer. Your mileage may vary - don't burn yourself

I run Mobil 1, and a K&N oil filter. Seems to keep pressure around 40ish.

I wonder if anyone on here runs the same combo of oil/filters??

Thank you guys. I also saw in one of the threads about oil pressure somebody was using Wix 57045 oil filter which is a cross reference for the PF63 AC Delco.

there is a lot of stuff to read on filters. The K&N is certainly one of the better filters, and is available on the shelf. It's just pretty expensive if you change your oil regularly. Amsoil is better but you have to order from an amsoil dealer... Wix and Napa Gold are average, have lots of filter material and are well made and less expensive.

check bob the oil guy, lots and lots of pics of filters tested

I always use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil 5W30 and K&N filter PS-1017, that is the best combo for my engine, no issues so far.
