2015 Denali = VERY ANNOYING Electrical "Jingle" Noise LF Dash

Call me crazy...but my new vehicles might as well not have a warranty.

I don't have a dealer that isn't clueless within a 150 mile radius of me and I refuse to let those clowns near my $70K truck. I'd have door dings, scratches, torn up dash panels, greased up seats, etc, etc. I'm just too picky to have anyone touching my truck.

I spent some time after I isolated the noise making sure this module doesn't build up heat (It doesnt) and I made a custom little insulated surround and put it in there and then tied it as far up inside the dash as possible.

Noise is 100% gone now.

Man glad you found it that would've drove me crazy to. Thanks for sharing this information. This is why forums like this are so valuable. I think most of us would like to try to fix it ourselves rather then taking it to the dealer.

Is it a super high pitched kind of gingly or squeaky intermittent noise? If so, i'm hearing it in my newly delivered 2015i escalade premium. I remember reading this thread when i was considering a denali. so THANK YOU if this is it.

EASY to get to. Its above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. It just has some plastic clips that hold it in. Take it loose and wrap it with accoustic foam and you'll be good to go. That noise drove me crazy.

Why are you guys masking the symptom instead of resolving the problem?

Obviously it's not supposed to make this noise so it's a faulty module, and if it's transfer case related it's a somewhat significant one at that. Hosse I get that you don't trust the dealer but if you have enough access to it to insulate it don't you have enough access to it to replace it?

I think the thing is, it's such a high pitched noise (like that you can sense a tv is on in the other room) That it's probably just how it is, and a very small percentage of people can actually hear it, and complain. In a few years my ears will change and i probably wont be able to hear it.
