As always, I appreciate your advice and will not be performing this guesswork because that's exactly what is. I wouldn't sell it knowing it would be a problem for someone. Any thoughts on buying a replacement for half the price from RockAuto (or somewhere) using a none OEM?

Hell, might be able to get a used set at salvage yard but with price of cats because of the precious metals, that could still be pricey. Maybe in the parts for sale section.

Lemon is a pretty strong word. Sounds like you have a couple maintenance issues. Let us know how the battery replacement goes. Probably could have saved a lot of headaches by having it tested. Battery cables are also a common issue on this platform as noted also.
