To add what Tony wrote, as I'm just an end customer, no affiliation, yes, real "very nicely" done chrome.

My examples are jaw dropping, they really did a beautiful polishing and plating job on these wheels.

Of course any wheel, no matter the finish can be ruined, or their usable lives shortened.

Salt, harsh chemical cleaners, improper tools, and protective products that do not last. Most waxes, and most Sealants would barely hold up to he corrosive properties of salt, let's say running these wheels through one of those wonderful Chicago Winters, where they literally dump a metric ton of the stuff at every street intersection.

Brake dust as well has highly corrosive properties also. Especially those that contain metallic (iron) in them.

My wheels, once tires are mounted will be treated in and out with a clear ceramic coating. Coatings such as Carpro CQuartz UK (which is what I'll be using) can handle temps up to 600f degrees, and are much more resistant to abrasion-scratching, acids-alkalies, solvents, harsh cleaners, and possess much greater hydrophobic qualities, meaning one only practically needs a garden hose to clean, no harsh cleaners will ever be needed, the dirt literally falls off.

I see it as cheap insurance to long life, and beauty.

i tell people with chrome same thing
1) no snow
2) dont use the cleaners you see at store just soap and water
3) brake dust baked into chrome kills it. Just wash off with water once a week if you cant clean em

Here's one of many vids on the web. Once these coatings go on, there's pretty much no way to get them off short of Polishes to remove them.

The Microfiber Suede Applicators used for this product, and all MF Towels used to level-smooth the initial application then become unusable, and must be disposed. They turn hard as a rock.

Over the past couple days, been viewing some vids of the 2015 GMC Yukon with these wheels on board. Seems the Lugs-Locks I linked to are the proper legitimate factory lug that GM chose to use on these wheels.
Not sure if they would be compatible on other Factory Repro GM Truck/SUV Wheels?

As the person told me at Discount Tire, virtually all "Spline Type" Lugs available (like the Gorilla Lugs I previously bought and returned) will be smaller in Diameter, just the nature of the beast I guess.

I can also understand why Factory Reproductions, and others may not carry such Lugs/Locks for these wheels since they are a GM sourced product.

What the reason was that the local dealer claimed he might not be able to get these factory Lugs-Locks, was perhaps these could be a hot item in short supply right now?

Got the tires mounted up today.

Basically all was quick, but without a doubt discount tire could've done a better job.

First off, the little shit ass. after mounting each of my pristine wheels to the machine, proceeded to throw every Nitto Tire (the treads) upright onto the very face of these wheels, so he could ever so lazily slather the tire beads with Ju Ju Juice.

I kick myself in the ass the most, standing there like an idiot, which I'm far from being,10' away from this clown, witnessing him doing this to every wheel in the set.

And when he was seating the beads, he bended the living shit out of each and every tire, squeezing the bastards down to looking like Lance Armstrong's Bike Tires. I gotta wonder now if these tires won't have severe sidewall failures 300 miles down the road.

But this is typical of what I encounter here in this new Mexican land of shit laziness,
incompetence, failure, lack of accountability, and responsbility.

Too boot, I gave the little lazy turd and his helper a $5 tip.
I should ask for it back, and then some.
And while very minor, under the right lighting, I can see scuffing, and scratching to the center of these wheels, all of them.

I think I'll not only go back to the local shytwagon Discount Tire to mention this, but also call corporate about this lackluster service, where these little clowns with shit still in their diapers can think they can treat another man's money, and property like it's nothing.

The Hunter Tire equipment didn't look like the latest-greatest either, but again, typical for this cost cutting dump of a state, and pretty much how the rest of this dump country now spins.
This is common here in this dump cesspool known as New Mexico. Truly the armpit of America it is.

I said "New Mexican", not Mexican.

I'm sorry for the rants, but it does truly seem that everywhere I try to conduct business here, it's the same old story, lack of responsibility, accountability, laziness, and poor quality services. In other words people just really don't care here. Race, or ethnicity plays no part here, the lack of quality work, and services are non-existent in this "Wild West". It was one reason I had first asked Tony about a possible package deal, knowing well that this area is reknown to fubar a wet dream.

The ever so slight evidence of a fine scratch here and there would be impossible to photograph and show, one has to literally place their eyeball a few inches away.

I know they were not there before.

It's not that the chrome on these wheels appears soft, or inferior, but common sense says that if you grind-rub a tread of a tire onto a pristine chrome surface, a tire although new still will have grits-dirts on it, damage of some form will surely occur.

Now I'm well aware that as time passes things age, one will eventually begin seeing sleeks and ultra fine scratching, it's the nature of the beast and comes usually from washing. That's one reason I will be coating these wheels with a clear ceramic coating.

The thing is, "I" paid for them, they're mine to do as I please with. It does hghly irk me to see an installer though, a person who supposed to have experience with mounting expensive custom aftermarket wheels to do such shoddy careless work.
