2015 HMI Unlock - Video in Motion

Today my unit failed completely. No video output whatsoever. Sound works but no picture for any of the settings... Not even the backup camera.

I've had some weird things like this happening since the install of the HMI unit.

Anyone else having weird issues?

Ugh, that's awful. Let us know how it goes with the vendor. This is on my list of things to get done. Good luck.

Once I turned vehicle off, opened door and restarted it worked fine!

The only thing that can really go wrong (other than a wire coming loose) is the hdmi to composite converter frying. They are not that well made, fortunately not too expensive either.

Reply to hmi failed

it happened to me once. I restarted my phone and it started working again. But the backup camera and other features still worked. Only the video in motion had stopped

I use a USB drive to watch movies. I rarely use the iPhone hookup.

curious to the outcome of the problems you guys are having. Ive tried contacting vendor via email, phone calls, and have left voicemails. wondering if they're still in business. please let me know

I had this happen just the other day. Left the house all was well. Stopped at a client for 15 minutes. Came out and nothing but sound. dash controls did not work, but I could adjust the volume from the steering wheel controls. I drove straight to the dealer to see if they could step out and put a tester on it just to get a code or something. Nope, sorry to busy, you will have to schedule an appointment next week. turned off truck for 15 min while speaking to service manager. When I came back everything was working. Going to keep an eye on it and this forum for updates. OH, and its STOCK no HMI mods

Hmi unlock

Well I had my system uninstalled. MVI was very curtious and will except the return as long as it's not a mangled uninstall. I may try the Nav TV brand. But not sure yet. Going to follow some more reviews and see what works best. Hate the hassle of dropping the truck off and picking it up for the same issue. For now just putting in the headrest tvs

This happened to me as well, long before the HMI upgrade (which has worked perfectly) I called ONstar and they walked me through the reset (turning off engine - opening door - restarting etc...) and it lit right back up and has been working perfectly since. It must be fairly common since they had a plan in place to solve it over the phone.
