Hey,
I’m new to 2015 generation Tahoes. Just bought a 2015 LTZ and there sounds like a loose screw is rolling around right beneath the cup holder area of the front console. I’ve tried to find YouTube videos showing the best way to remove this trim piece but the two that I’ve found only shows the “after removal”. Can anyone with experience offer a helpful word of advice to me?

I just bought a 2015 Tahoe that was a police K-9 vehicle. The center console was removed to make room for the cop gear, and when i bought it they took out the cop gear, and just set the console back without securing it, so i'm gonna have to go secure it. If you give me a few hours i can take some pictures to show how/where it is secured. I'm not planning on replacing it right now, so i can't help with that, but i can take pics for you.

Thanks I appreciate it. I’ve watched this video and was able to take out my radio to replace the digitizer screen and that helped a lot. What I have now is what appears to be a screw, rolling around underneath the interior portion of this console so when the console was removed, there’s a several wiring harnesses on the Top side of what appears to be a sub console and I need to get that sub console off because the screw appears to be beneath it. I have been trying to find an exploded view or schematic of that area so I could see what’s under there to see if possibly I could just use a magnetic tool to try to fish that out without disassembling the whole lower console. Do you have any suggestions?

if there is any kind of access to the location in question you could try a telescoping magnet pickup device, those are like $10 at any auto parts store
and/or if you can see it thru a hole or something then one of those 3 finger flexible grabber tools might work
home depot sells a flexible head one so you can stick it in there and fish it around without even being able to see it.

Thanks! I just tried the magnet, right before I read this, with no luck. I guess I’ll have to remove this lower console…if I can figure out how to. I’m thinking that it will involve remove the seats!!!
